4.Β Capital Letters
Russians use capital letters only with proper names and in the beginning of the sentence.
Russians do not use capital letters with:
- Names of the months and the days of the week:
- ΠΌΠ°ΠΉ (May)
- ΡΠ΅ΡΠ²Π΅ΡΠ³ (Thursday)
- Words derived from proper names:
- ΡΠΈΠ±ΠΈΡΡΠΊΠΈΠΉ (Siberian)
- ΡΠΎΡΡΠΈΠΉΡΠΊΠΈΠΉ (Russian)
- Words showing nationality:
- ΠΈΡΠΏΠ°Π½Π΅Ρ (Spaniard)
- ΡΠΏΠΎΠ½Π΅Ρ (Japanese person)
- Π°Π½Π³Π»ΠΈΡΠ°Π½ΠΊΠ° (English lady)
- Titles and forms of address:
- Π³ΠΎΡΠΏΠΎΠ΄ΠΈΠ½ (mister)
- ΠΏΡΠΎΡΠ΅ΡΡΠΎΡ (professor)
