You bought a language course and started your studies with great enthusiasm. Then came that super busy week at work, then the bathroom renovation, and then your child came down with fever. And in that hassle called everyday life you just couldn’t find time to continue with your studies. Sound familiar?
In this newsletter, we will give you some tips on how to keep up your motivation and find time for language studies even during busy times.
1. Set a target that’s small enough
When you set an easy goal and then reach it, you will get more energy. Usually the hardest part is getting started, so in the beginning you can aim to complete just one exercise 3-6 times a week. Easy, right? Print a nice motivational picture and stick it on your fridge door to remind you of your decision.
2. Get a supporter
On the Settings page, you can set your weekly progress report to be sent also to your friend’s or family member’s email. The fact that somebody else gets that report as well motivates most of us. Celebrate with your supporter every time you get a certificate of a 100% completed course.
3. Make it a habit
When you make learning a habit, you don’t have to constantly use energy for deciding whether to practice today or not. You probably don’t ponder whether to brush your teeth or not every night. When something becomes an automatic routine, you don’t need self-discipline to do it, and those mental resources are released for other decisions.
We made you three different inspirational images for you to print out or download and set as a desktop wallpaper. Choose your favorite image and get inspired!
